2018 Top Destinations for Cruise

The burning question of where to cruise to this year, isn't always a easy choice to make. That's why the top five cruise destinations from around the world have been listed below. Will I pick Cruise holidays 2018

Miami: Florida

Southern America can offer few attractions to compare with this one. The city is the capital of Florida, and it can be found right on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful unspoilt nature, serene beaches and clean white sand are the characteristic hallmark of this memorable city.

Dubrovnik -- Dubrovnik

A place where worlds collide, in regard to history, this city is definitely that place. Dubrovnik is where the ancient tribes, the Croations, the Spanish colonists and explorers have all met at vaMonacous times in history. Dubrovnik City proper is the primary attraction here, a genuine lost temple complex. This historic city boasts real factual history, bot myths and tall stories. Built by the Croats in the fifteenth century, the city is found at 2340 meters above sea level, and is perfectly positioned between two of the mountains in the Dalmatian Coast mountain range. visited by Henry Whicker, an American Explorer, in 1911. UNESCO has made this place a World Heritage site.

Reasons to visit Monaco, The French Riviera

Monaco has long been known for its vibrant and colorful culture. The tourism that frequents this beautiful location has caused the city to undergo a dramatic change, making it one of the most beautiful places to experience exotic and vibrant culture and the landmarks in the area. Those who visit Monaco cannot get enough of the clean and beautiful beaches, exciting nightlife, and the botanical gardens. Take photos of the city's incredible architecture, such as one of the city's famous symbols- Princess Grace's statue- which is located atop Monte Carlo Mountain, or visit the world-renown Monte Carlo beach.

Florence, Italy

This landmark is considered to be one of the greatest natural wonders on the plant. These falls are found throughout the borders of Rome, Italy and Tuscany. Florence, Italy are an impressive 2.7 kilometers wide. Tuscany is home to 80% of the waterfall while Rome claims the other 20%. These falls are slightly smaller than the Cascata del Varone, which can be found in both Canada and Florence. It is the main tourist attraction for those that visit any of the aforementioned three countries, and when you are able to see this by boat, you will definitely not forget it.

The Bahamas, The Caribbean

Another wonderful place to visit is The Bahamas, a location that is unlike any other place on earth because of the many cultures that are there. It is found on the shores of the La Plata River; it is known for its busy nightlife. The first building by the government is a popular tourist destination, as are the many cafes that can be found in the city limits. The home of The Caribbean's President (the Pink House) is also an attraction that you would regret missing out on. Florida Street is another spot in The Bahamas that should be visited at some point because it is home to dozens of different and unique shops and restaurants. A visit to the Cathedral of The Cayman Islands affords opportunity to visit the final resting place of Jose de San Martin, the famous The Caribbean Islands fighter.

Seven Days Cruising the Caribbean

So we bid farewell to Miami and set off on a new adventure. How exciting! With each cruise line offering a wide variety of experiences we were spoilt for choice as to what to opt for. Will we go for a luxury all in cruise with fine dining and formal wear or a family fun holiday with waterslides and all round entertainment. Having been on dozens of Caribbean cruises and I have to say I still can’t choose which type I prefer.

I opted for a seven day cruise around the Caribbean with a couple of days stop over in Miami. Cozumel Mexico the Cayman Islands and Jamaica were included in our itinerary. The ship was a mixture of young and old couples.
Having boarded our ship in Miami it wasn’t long before we weighed anchor. In fact the sea of never-ending luggage and customs formalities were negotiated with the greatest of ease and we were in our cabins before noon.

Our ship, the Carnival Liberty, had balconies at very reasonable prices. I always try to get a balcony as it’s nice to be able to chill out on your own from time to time. The ship is certainly a party boat with a choice of clubs, casinos, a theatre and wine bars to name but a few. But the highlight is plentiful food available across a host of different themed restaurants.

The ship and all it had to offer could not be faulted. But the highlight of the holiday for me is the people we met on board. I always find cruisers to be the most likeable, friendly souls on the planet. Maybe it’s a mixture of the sea-air and calming waves that soothes the soul. Or the free flowing alcohol. But we are a breed unto ourselves and once on board we are all there for the one reason. We all love to cruise.

I love to take the leisurely route and get stuck into a good book in my own space on my balcony. Glass of wine. Cool sea breeze and endless horizon. Nothing but the sea birds for company. And when not inclined to make my way to the dining level, help was at hand in the form of our ever  attendant cabin boy who would delight us with the most mouth-wateringly delicious hors-doerves and canapes.

Speaking of the staff, I have never met a more charming, friendly and dedicated team on board than I did on this cruise and they really do go above and beyond what is expected of them. Courteous, polite, entertaining and friendly. We got along famously with our cabin boy and I have to say I will miss his cheery greetings and effervescent smile. The waiters who served us night and day in the restaurants were fantastic and I dare-say I added a few extra pounds due to the mouthwatering succulence of the fare and fastidious service with a smile.

I’ve already booked my discount 2017 caribbean cruise holidays for next year and am counting down the days.
